Shipping Policy

Orders will typically ship within 1-3 business days, provided all items are in stock. You will be notified as soon as your order has shipped out, and given a tracking number. Arrival times vary depending on your shipping location. 

We are pleased to offer free shipping on orders subtotalling $200, excluding furniture, artwork, and lighting. These larger items are not eligible for shipping through our store. Although we aren’t able to ship larger items, we partner with a wonderful moving company who can help arrange pickup or delivery to your home.

 

PICK UP IN STORE

If you’d like to pick up your order in store, we’ll send you a happy little email as soon as it’s ready for you. At checkout, simply enter your billing address, and on the next page you’ll be able to select ‘Pick up in store’ as your shipping method. We can’t wait to see you!

 

U.S. ORDERS

Please note that orders shipped to the United States may be subject to import fees such as duties, taxes, or occasional tariffs. These charges are determined by U.S. Customs and are the responsibility of the recipient. We are required to declare the full value of all items in your order and cannot adjust or reduce these amounts.

Because all import-related fees are handled directly by U.S. Customs and their brokers, we do not charge any U.S. tax at checkout. If duties, taxes, or brokerage fees apply, they are typically collected by the carrier before delivery or invoiced after your package arrives.

If a shipment from Jacaranda Tree & Co. is refused, the customer remains responsible for the original shipping costs as well as any duties, taxes, or customs charges incurred. These amounts will be deducted from the merchandise refund.

Many of our U.S. customers still find the overall cost favourable thanks to the current exchange rate and the absence of Canadian sales tax at checkout.

Please Note: US customs processing is fully out of our control and we cannot be held responsible for Customs actions (damage, taxes, duties, fees, etc.) upon opening your package, as well as any associated costs of returning the package to us.

SALES TAXES

Sales tax will be applied automatically during the checkout process for domestic shipments. Taxes are based on the province the items are being shipped to. We do not collect U.S. sales tax. Any duties/taxes determined to be owing on orders shipping to the USA will be payable by the customer.

 

SHIPPING STATUS

You will receive an e-mail informing you that the order has shipped which will include a tracking number. Information about any backordered or cancelled items will be included in a separate email.
